Washington D.C police are reporting "numerous" arrest made during anti-Trump protests after inauguration ceremony. CNN says over 90 people had been arrested in the capital city. Smoke bombs are being deployed by the authorities in order to defuse the crowds.

Some photos circulating in social media are showing damages in vehicles and properties. At the time of writing, DXY is trading at 100.27, down -0.35% on the day, having posted a daily high at 101.50 and low at 100.77
