Brexit: MPs table motion to force a longer Brexit extension

UK Member of Parliament Alison McGovern will reportedly table a motion that will give the House the power to force a longer Brexit, according to ITV's Paul Brand. It is unclear if the motion will be debated.
The move comes after it emerged that the UK will only ask for a short extension to Article 50. The European Union, pro-Remain MPs, and markets prefer a long extension of nine to twelve months over a short one lasting only two or three months. The Pound dropped on the news.
