BoE's Bailey: We are seeing the economy back somewhat

Bank of England (BoE) Governor Andrew Bailey noted on Monday that they are seeing signs of recovery in the economy. However, Bailey further added that they still have a long way to go and reiterated that they are worried about jobs.

Market reaction

These comments don't seem to be having an impact on market sentiment or the GBP's performance. As of writing, the UK's FTSE 100 Index was up 1.15% on the day at 6,165 points and the GBP/USD pair was virtually unchanged at 1.2615.
