Monero (XMR) trading will be removed by crypto exchange BitBay.

  • Users of BitBay will no longer be allowed to trading Monero (XMR), as the company removes support. 
  • The trading will be ending on 19 February 2020 and deposits will halt from 29 November. 

BitBay, crypto exchange announced its decision to end trading support with privacy-based digital currency Monero (XMR),.

Trading for Monero will be completely stopped from 19 February 2020, additionally, the platform will stop accepting deposits in XMR on November 29.

The exchange announced:

We are announcing that the end of market trading support for Monero (XMR) will take place on 19.02.2020. At the end of transaction support, XMR orders (buy/sell) requested before the end of the transaction will be canceled

They further added:

Monero (XMR) can selectively utilize anonymity features among projects. This feature of XMR is a subject to end of transaction support. The decision was made to block the possibility of money laundering and inflow from external networks.
