Binance to partner with Ripple for xRapid in future – Changpeng Zhao confirms

  • “In the future, we’ll definitely want to add them [Ripple] as a partner,” Zhao.
  • Ripple has already entered into agreements with various cryptocurrency exchanges.

The chief executive of Binance, the largest exchange by adjusted daily trading volume, Changpeng Zhao was today on his first livestream via Periscope. The livestream lasted forty-five minutes. The CEO commonly referred to as CZ took time to respond to multiple questions concerning the future of the exchange, Binance Coin (BNB) as well as Binance Chain. He also touched on the soon to launch a decentralized exchange.

In the course of the livestream, Zhao said that Binance will definitely strike a partnership with the San Francisco-based blockchain company, Ripple particularly for its groundbreaking blockchain solution, xRapid.

“We’re focused on launching more features right now [on Binance], so we are working with a number of other partners. With xRapid, there’s nothing going on right now, but in the future we’ll definitely want to add them [Ripple] as a partner.”

Ripple has continued to grow its partnership base in a bid to ensure that its payment solutions are adopted widely. Moreover, the company has already entered into agreements with various exchanges including Bittrex in the USA, Bitso in Mexico and Coins.ph in the Philippines. All these companies are leveraging xRapid for liquidity during XRP transfers among the countries.

A partnership between Binance and Ripple will not only benefit the two companies but also improve cross-border payments across the world. Both Ripple and Binance are currently looking towards expanding their markets around the world.
