Octa Broker Review 2026: All you need to know

Octa offers three types of accounts: OctaTrader, MetaTrader 4, and MetaTrader 5. These accounts differ in the types of instruments that can be traded and the trading platforms used. All three accounts can be managed through the Octa app.

• Demo Account: Octa offers demo accounts.
• Islamic (Swap-Free) Account: Octa does not charge swaps, effectively complying with Islamic trading rules.

Costs and fees are similar no matter the account selected.

• Spreads: Octa offers competitive floating spreads across various trading instruments, with no additional commissions on their account types. Here's a snapshot of typical spreads for some popular instruments:

• Octa's variable spreads align with industry standards. During our review, the average spread for EUR/USD was 0.9 pips. The floating spreads for currency pairs involving the Japanese Yen ranged from 1.9 to 2.6 pips, while major pairs (excluding EUR/USD) average around 1.5 pips. Spreads across different account types are similar, with OctaTrader accounts offering slightly lower spreads for Forex.
• Swap/Rollover fees:
  Octa does not charge swap fees for positions held overnight.
• Inactivity fees:
  Octa does not charge inactivity fees.
• Deposit and Withdrawal Fees:
  Octa does not charge any deposit or withdrawal fees for any payment method.

Octa affirms that deposits can be made via bank wire, credit card, digital wallet, and cryptocurrency. The available methods vary depending on the client's residence and may include local bank transfers.

• Minimum deposit: The minimum deposit is $25, while for several cryptocurrencies, the amount is approximately $50. During the review, we faced a minimum deposit of 50 USDT (Tether).
• Currencies accepted for deposits (and withdrawals):
• Fiat: Trading accounts are denominated exclusively in US Dollars (USD). While you can deposit funds in various currencies, these will be converted to USD at the exchange rate set by the payment system you use.
• Cryptocurrency: Dogecoin, Litecoin, Tether, Bitcoin, and Ethereum.
• Processing times: Processing times range from instant to a few days, depending on the payment method.
• User Experience:
  • In our review, we only had the option to use Neteller, Skrill, and cryptocurrencies. Even after verifying our identity, those were the only methods available to us. We consulted customer service, and they confirmed that these were the available methods for our accounts.
  • We made the deposit through Tether via the TRC20 network, which has the lowest fees. In this case, the network charges 1 USDT, and Octa does not impose any additional fees. While there is no minimum deposit from the virtual wallet, Octa advises that the minimum deposit using this method is 50 USDT. The network charged a fee of 1 USDT, and the remaining amount was credited to our account in USD within minutes. For those familiar with cryptocurrency wallets, this process is very simple and quick.
  • Internal transfers between different accounts can be done from the dashboard and are nearly instantaneous. There is also the option to transfer funds to a wallet outside of these accounts but within Octa.

Octa supports withdrawals through the same range of methods available for deposits. To enable multiple withdrawal methods, a new deposit using a different method is required. Withdrawals can be initiated from the website dashboard or through the mobile app.

• Minimum withdrawal: Depends on the payment method. For Neteller and Skrill, the minimum is USD 5. For Tether, it is 10 USDT.
• Processing times: The processing time can vary from 30 minutes to three business days, depending on the method and conditions.
• User Experience:
  • In our review, the entire withdrawal process took less than 35 minutes. We accessed the withdrawal section in the dashboard, where we entered the amount and selected the method, in this case, Tether (TRC20). The options mirrored those available for deposits, although, as expected, the only method available for withdrawals was the one we used for depositing funds. Upon consulting customer service about using Bitcoin for a withdrawal, we were informed that Cryptocurrencies is not categorized as a method to withdraw via Bitcoin, and that a deposit using Bitcoin would be necessary first.
  • We requested the withdrawal through USDT. After selecting this option, we entered the amount, wallet address, and a security PIN (sent via email during the account setup with Octa). The request was completed in under a minute and did not require sending an email or notifying customer service.
  • A few minutes after submitting the withdrawal, we received a confirmation email. At that point, we could see our withdrawal status as pending in the dashboard. Less than 30 minutes later, the withdrawal was successfully completed, with the amount credited to our cryptocurrency wallet. The amount experienced a slight deduction due to conversion fees, but no additional charges were applied.

Octa offers a bonus program called "50% Bonus", allowing users to select the percentage they wish to add to their account, ranging from 10% to 50% of each deposit. This amount appears on the account as a credit and becomes available on the balance once a specified volume of lots has been traded. The threshold to access the bonus is high and requires a substantial trading volume.

Octa Rewards is a built-in loyalty program designed to reward active trading on the Octa platform, available to all clients by default without any extra registration requirements. As users trade, they automatically earn XP and progress through four status levels. Each level offers increasingly valuable benefits such as reduced spreads, faster bonus withdrawals, and accelerated accumulation of prize lots for the Trade and Win program.

Periodically, Octa offers the OctaFX Champion Demo Contest, a monthly, risk-free trading competition using virtual funds. Participants compete for real cash prizes ranging from $40 to $500, with winners determined by the highest account balance after four weeks.

Octa offers varying leverage ratios across different regulatory regions. Depending on the applicable regulatory framework,leverage can be as high as 1000:1 for international accounts, while European traders are limited to a maximum of 1:30 for major currency pairs.

When opening an account, you can choose the type of leverage you prefer, with options ranging from 1000:1 to 1:1. The selected amount represents the maximum leverage available, as the actual leverage may vary depending on the trading instrument.

Octa operates under a hybrid ECN/STP model in which orders are executed at market prices without the use of a dealing desk.

User Experience: In our review, the execution quality was positive across all accounts. Entry and exit orders were executed as intended, with only minor slippage observed. Limit orders were adjusted almost exactly to the specified price without jumps, though a small percentage of stop orders did experience some variation.

Octa provides daily and weekly reports of trading activity. Additionally, the app allows users to view the history of each operation, including changes made to orders, with great clarity.

One negative aspect we encountered while trading with MT4 was that it does not allow for regular partial closes. For example, when we attempted to close 0.3 lots from a position of 0.5 lots, the entire 0.5 lots were closed, and a new position of 0.2 lots was opened instead. However, when we performed the same operation for the same MT4 account from the Octa app, we found that this partial closing was allowed.

• Octa allows for hedging, scalping and also algorithmic trading.

Available trading platforms include MetaTrader 4 (Web, App, and Desktop),MetaTrader 5 (Web, App, and Desktop), and theproprietary web-based OctaTrader, along with the Octa Copytrading app. The Octa mobile app allows users to manage all their accounts. Octa currently cannot be connected with TradingView.

Octa offers social trading through its Copy Trade Service. However, it does not provide Percentage Allocation Management Module (PAMM) accounts or Multi-Account Manager (MAM) services.

Octa''s website offers a clean, professional look that is intuitive and easy to navigate. While not extraordinary, its interface is user-friendly and more polished than that of other brokers. The overall layout is smooth and the website operates flawlessly, without any noticeable delays.

However, when it comes to finding key information, the website could improve. While the organization is logical, users may need to search a bit more to locate essential details. In terms of extra features, Octa provides some additional tools, though these are not particularly groundbreaking. Many of these features require users to search within the website or app, making them less immediately accessible.

The Octa mobile app quickly recognizes and retrieves data after entering the username, requiring no further action.

Users can open positions in the Octa account as well as in MT4 and MT5, which can also be done using those specific applications. This means the app provides complete control over all open accounts and displays the full trading history, including changes made to orders, with great clarity.

The app is more feature-rich than the web version of Octa Trader. It displays attractive charts for all three account types, allowing trading and modifications. From a trading perspective, the app is comprehensive, including an economic calendar and a section called "Space," which features posts about different market assets filtered according to the trader''s interests.
