Tim Quinlan is an economist for Wells Fargo. Based in Charlotte, N.C., he provides analysis and commentary on U.S. business spending as well as macroeconomic developments in foreign economies.
Prior to joining the economics group in 2007, Tim held positions within Wachovia as a financial advisor and within Evergreen Investments as a trust account portfolio manager and investment strategist. Prior to joining Wachovia in 2002, he spent several years working for Putnam Investments in Boston, Mass.
His commentary is often cited in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, and Financial Times. He is also a frequent guest on Marketplace on National Public Radio.
Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in American studies with a concentration in the classics from Siena College in upstate New York.
