Richard studied Economics and Law with the soul intention of becoming a trader; he fulfilled that ambition by joining the Futex Graduate Scheme in December 2006 and began trading 'live' during the financial crisis. The extreme volatility provided an intense learning experience and a great appreciation of the impact of fundamental news and the importance of technical analysis. Richard kept a detailed diary of all the events he traded and the market reaction to them, this gave him an edge on top of his strong technical analysis and resulted in some of his most profitable days. He maintains his notes to this day and refers to them regularly both for his own trading and to help others who not have experienced certain conditions.
new situations has resulted in Richard utilising a wide range of tools and a strong grasp of auction market theory has allowed him take a broader perspective of how markets are trading and adjust shorter term strategies to suits varying day types. Recently Richard has take on a role of providing analysis and trade ideas for Futex traders whilst continuing to trade his own account successfully.
