Carl Paraskevas has over twenty years’ experience in finance and banking, primarily in research related roles at several institutions. Prior to joining VARIANSE in 2021, he was an Emerging Markets FX trader and Senior Markets Economist at Lloyds Bank covering foreign exchange and commodity markets for over a decade. Carl's primary area of research focus has been on forecasting and predictive modelling.
He holds a bachelors’ degree in Economics from the Central Connecticut State University and a MSc in International Finance from Cass Business School in London. More recently, he has pursued advanced studies in Data Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition, he holds several awards from the International Monetary Fund in financial market analysis and macroeconomic forecasting.
