Matthew joined Blackwell Global in March 2016; he works as a currency analyst in the research department based in Auckland. A graduate of the University Otago he has achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, where developed an understanding of a range of economic concepts. His areas of interest are trade economics and currency markets. Another area he was exposed to and enjoys is behavioral economics, which he fuses with a degree in molecular genetics to understand sources of irrational behavior in economic models. At Blackwell Matthew uses his technical analysis skills and macroeconomic knowledge to contribute meaningful opinions and research to the field. Outside of work Matthew plays tennis, fences, and brunches.
