US Pres. Trump to hold news conference related to Hong Kong and China
|US President Donald Trump is scheduled to host a news conference at 1700 EST on Tuesday. Citing two administration officials, Reuters reported that Trump's remarks will be related to Hong Kong and China.
Market reaction
Wall Street's main indexes retreated slightly from session highs on this development. As of writing, the S&P 500 Index (SPX) was still up 0.65% on a daily basis. Nevertheless, the US Dollar Index largely ignored this headline and was last seen losing 0.3% on the day at 96.25.
