Trump-Xi summit pushed back from end-March - FT report
|According to a report published on the Financial Times, a summit between the US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping has been pushed back from the end of March. The Trump-Xi summit was said to be pushed back as both sides try to pin down details and avoid an embarrassing failure.
In an interview with American media on Friday, the US ambassador to China Terry Branstad said that there are no dates for the summit, but the two sides are still negotiating. “They want a signing ceremony, they don’t want a negotiation,” he added.
