PM Abe has not reappointed Kuroda as BOJ's governor

Japanese Prime Minister Abe told parliament on Tuesday that he has not reappointed Kuroda as the BOJ governor when asked by an opposition lawmaker about the media reports.

Meanwhile, Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso stressed that next central bank governor needs to have English skills to deal with the global financial issue.

As per Reuters report, Aso told reporters on Tuesday - “speaking fluent English is one very important condition for the job" and added further that the BOJ governor would also need communication skills to explain monetary policy in parliament and the stamina to travel overseas.
