ISM NY: Business Conditions index improves to 66.9 in May from 64.3 in April
|According to the latest report published by the Institute for Supply Management-New York, the seasonally adjusted Current Business Conditions index rose to 66.9 in May from 64.3 in April. Below are the changes witnessed in the sub-indexes, as reported by Reuters.
- Manufacturing Activity index improved to 58.7 in May (consensus 58.1) from 57.3 in April.
- Manufacturing Prices Paid index 79.5 in May (consensus 78.2) vs. 79.3 in April.
- Manufacturing New Orders index rose to 63.7 in May from 61.2 in April.
- Manufacturing Employment index 56.3 in May (consensus 54.5) vs. 54.2 in April.
