Irish TransportMin Ross: Irish PM to make Brexit statement early on Tuesday
|Reuters reports comments from the Irish Transport Minister Shane Ross delivered following a late-night Cabinet meeting.
Ross noted that the Irish Prime Minister (PM) Leo Varadkar will make a statement early on Tuesday on the legally binding of the agreement reached between the UK and EU to finding alternative arrangements to backstop by end 2020.
“Everybody here is hoping it (the withdrawal agreement) will go through the House of Commons tomorrow. We don’t want to say anything that will in any way distract from that,” Ross said.
