CME Group's December rate hike probability eases to 91.5% after US CPI data
|Markets are pricing a 91.5% probability of a Fed December rate hike, compared to 96.7% on Tuesday, according to the CME Group FedWatch Tool. Today's data from the U.S. showed that the inflation measured by the Consumer Price Index rose by 0.1% on a monthly basis in October following a 0.5% increase in September. The core CPI, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, rose to 1.8% from 1.7% on a yearly basis and met the market estimates.
