Australia NAB business survey comes in mixed for April, Aussie unfazed

Australia business confidence printed by Reuters and the official release by National Australia Bank (NAB) match, with -

  • Confidence 0 in April, from -1 in March  (revised from 0).
  • Conditions 3 in April from 7 in March.
  • The key employment sub-index is now at its lowest since late 2016.

The Aussie remains unfazed by the awful NAB Australian business survey, as the post-Chinese retaliation recovery extends into Asia, with the AUD/USD pair now flirting with daily tops near 0.6957 levels.
