New York Times revealed that they have been using blockchain technology to confirm the origination of digital files thus intercepting the spread of fake news

The media outlet said that they are successfully working on a project which is using blockchain technology, as they want fight the ever-spreading fake news. 

NYT is leveraging Hyperledger Fabric Permissioned blockchain. The project is called “The News Provenance Project”, it is aiming to explore new ways for publishers to help fight misinformation.
