Bitcoin shows signs of recovery as more traders anticipate a 0.50% US interest rate cut on Wednesday

Bitcoin (BTC) shows signs of recovery, rising above $61,000 at the time of writing on Tuesday, following a three-day decline after failing to close above $60,500 over the weekend. This positive momentum could be bolstered by an anticipated 50 basis points (bps) US interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve (Fed) on Wednesday, according to CME Group data. At the same time, the announcement of Microstratergy’s plan to purchase more BTC indicated further potential for Bicoin’s recovery in the coming days.

Bitcoin (BTC) trades above $60,000, piling nearly 5% gains on Tuesday. Bitcoin Spot ETFs noted $12.9 million inflows on Monday, according to data from SoSoValue. This marks three consecutive days of inflows.

Donald Trump, former US President and Republican Presidential candidate, officially backed World Liberty Financial, a crypto project endorsed by the Trump family. Eric and Donald Trump Jr., sons of former President Trump, shared their vision to make DeFi more accessible on a livestream on X on Monday. The project has confirmed a governance token, WLFI.
